new york is a un•ion town

If you had any doubt...

all you needed to do was take a stroll up 5th Avenue yesterday.

The NYC Labor Day Parade & March, themed “We Organize! We Rise!” Said it all…As far as my eyes could see there were red, blue, purple, green, grey, burgundy, orange and black shirts and signs; but if I’m being honest… all I could see was a sea of yellow(SAG-AFTRA). All I could feel was electric pulsating energy…

That happens when a bunch of unionized workers are fed up and are marching for what is fair and just and in some cases, survival. Our livelihoods are at stake. We all should be making a livable wage. FULL STOP. Now couple that with my Union SAG-AFTRA and our sister Union the WGA we are on Strike. We had no choice but to show up and show out… that’s what we did. We made noise, like we do daily on the picket lines…

Supporting each other and feeling the love from all the Unions!

See, you come for one of us, this is New York City… you get all of us.

That’s what #solidarity looks like. That’s what #UnionStrong is.

We don’t just say it.

We LIVE IT!!!

Oh, back to the sea of Yellow… I’ve never been more proud as I looked down 5th and saw my Union siblings marching forward… nothing but love on the line!!!...
